In the context of the world facing many fluctuations in energy supply, Japan is stepping up investment in LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) storage technologies advanced to strengthen national energy security and ensure stable supply for domestic industry.
According to Nikkei AsiaThe Japanese government and major energy corporations are cooperating to implement large-scale LPG storage project chain in many areas, including strategic ports in Yamaguchi, Hiroshima and Hokkaido. The goal of the program is Double the national LPG storage capacity within the next 5 years, and simultaneously apply automation technology and digital monitoring to improve operational efficiency and safety.
This new technology uses Multi-layer insulation and automatic pressure control system, helping to reduce energy loss, extend tank life and increase storage capacity in harsh climate conditions. In addition, the integration AI in leak monitoring and pressure regulation help the system operate safely, minimizing the risk of incidents.
Besides, Japan also aims to Connecting LPG storage data to the national energy management system, helping the coordinating agencies to Real-time fuel inventory monitoring – a major step forward in energy crisis forecasting and management.
During the period when Japan gradually shifted to renewable energy sources, LPG still plays the role of “flexible backup source” when electricity production from solar or wind power is interrupted. Increasing LPG storage capacity not only helps stabilize the domestic energy market, but also reduces dependence on LNG imports – which are strongly affected by geopolitical fluctuations.
According to energy experts, Investing in LPG storage technology is a strategic move. of Japan, helping the country maintain reliable energy supply, and at the same time create the foundation for the process transition to clean energy in the future
As a pioneer in Vietnam in the field of providing Safe industrial gas solutions – Japanese standards, Hiroshima Energy Supply commented that:
Japan's investment in modern LPG storage technology is not only of national significance, but also opens up development direction for businesses in Southeast Asia in upgrading gas infrastructure.
Solutions such as Smart tanks, automatic pressure monitoring, centralized data management can be completely applied in Vietnam to improve safety and optimize operation of industrial LPG systems.
Hiroshima Energy Supply continues to update advanced technologies from Japan to bring to Vietnamese customers. More efficient, safe and sustainable energy solutions.
