THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND WHEN USING LPG IN THE SUMMER

Summer with its intense hot weather not only causes discomfort but also poses many potential safety risks when using LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas). Especially in households, manufacturing facilities or restaurants, the safe use of LPG needs to be given more attention. Below are some things to pay special attention to in the summer to ensure the safety of people and property.
  1. Avoid exposing gas cylinders to direct sunlight.
When the LPG cylinder is placed in direct sunlight for a long time, the temperature of the cylinder can increase, causing an increase in internal pressure. This can cause the safety valve to release steam, causing a gas leak - posing an extremely high risk of fire or explosion. ✅ Note:
  • Place the gas cylinder in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
  • Do not leave gas cylinders in closed, narrow spaces, near heat sources such as stoves, ovens, or hot water heaters.
  1. Periodically check gas pipes and shut-off valves
High summer temperatures can cause rubber gas lines to become brittle, crack, or age more quickly. Connectors and shut-off valves are also susceptible to heat, causing gas leaks. ✅ Note:
  • Regularly check for gas leaks.
  • If you detect the smell of gas, do not turn on/off electrical equipment, do not use matches or lighters.
  • Quickly turn off the gas valve, open the ventilation door and call the gas supplier to check. Bí kíp" bảo quản an toàn khí gas, phòng ngừa nguy cơ cháy nổ cho hộ gia đình | Giải Pháp Thoát Hiểm | Sản Phẩm, Ứng Dụng, Kỹ Năng & Cách
  1. Use gas cylinders from reputable units with regular inspections.
Note:
  • Use only genuine gas cylinders, supplied by reputable units.
  • Absolutely do not arbitrarily decant or refill gas in places without a license.
  1. Do not use electrical equipment near areas containing LPG.
In summer conditions, gas can easily evaporate quickly. If a leak occurs and there is a spark from nearby electrical equipment (such as sockets, switches), the consequences will be very serious. ✅ Note:
  • Place electrical appliances away from gas cylinders.
  • Always have fire fighting equipment (CO₂ extinguisher, sand, wet towels) near the kitchen area.
  1. Note when moving or transporting gas cylinders in hot weather
Note:
  • If you need to transport a gas cylinder, place it upright, avoid impact, and have a fixed rope.
  • Do not leave gas cylinders in the car in the sun for long periods of time.
🌟 Conclusion LPG is a convenient and popular energy source, but it also poses many risks if not used properly – especially in the hot summer. Therefore, compliance with safety principles not only protects life and property but also demonstrates professionalism and responsibility in operation.
